Sunshine Homecare provides specialized pediatric Homecare serving patients from infancy to late adolescence with acute and chronic medical conditions.
A child with special needs is one who requires some form of special pediatric care due to physical, mental, emotional, or health reasons. Sunshine recognizes that each child is unique and no single approach to caring for children with disabilities can be applied to all children, or even to those with the same disability. Sunshine understands families in need and provides guidance based on their specific requirements.
Children and young adults with special pediatric health care needs might have a serious or chronic disorder that triggers a physical, behavioral, or emotional condition or causes an intellectual or developmental disability. Some examples of such conditions are:

We provide exceptional care so students can focus on learning
- Our school nurses only focus on pediatrics.
- All our nurses are screened for experience, knowledge, and ability to deliver care in a facility, on the ride, or while away on a field trip
- 1:1 nursing cases are staffed following an exhaustive home assessment and
- Guidance of the student's physician
- IEP - Individual Education Plan
- Meeting with caregivers.

School Nursing Services
1:1 Nursing
• For part-time or full-time students in need of nursing care during school, extended school year programs, or field trips
Classroom Nurses
• For classrooms that have multiple students in need of nursing services or monitoring
On-Demand Nursing
• For students who have a specific nursing task that is needed during school hours, for example ,insulin administration and catheter changes
Transportation Nurse
• For students who need medical monitoring while they ride the bus, before and after school
1:1 School Health Aides
• For students who need help with personal care or activities of daily living throughout the school day
